Lattice — Restaurant in Colombo

Myself and my partner frequent Lattice whenever we find ourselves in Colombo. It's a great way to end our day with a wonderful cup of tea and on occasion a cake to indulge.

Sometimes we'll have an alcoholic drink and the bar has many options to choose from.

The waiting staff are so attentive, very helpful and professional. We are made to feel welcome each and every time we visit. Staff are second to none in the area of hotel chains. We really are happy with the service given.

The atmosphere is lovely, quite relaxing and the chairs are very comfortable. I will say, however, that the few times they decide to have a live performer the music can get way too loud and spoil the soft ambience.

The cakes are lovely, although, I would avoid the "cheese"cake as they aren't exactly your typical cheesecake. It's very gelatinous. However, that's the only downside of their cake selection.

Taj Samudra is a Sri Lankan hotel that we have known since childhood, that's why we decided to go there for the High Tea buffet. The High Tea buffet was held in the lattice restaurant in the lobby area with a beautiful free environment.
