PizzaHut- Havelock City Mall — Restaurant in Colombo

I have been a loyal customer of Pizza Hut for years, and I’ve visited many of their outlets. But the experience I had at the Havelock City Mall branch on September 6th, 2024, was beyond disappointing and unacceptable. This is the first time I’ve encountered such unprofessionalism from a Pizza Hut crew.

The staff at this location, especially one named Madushani, clearly don’t know how to behave or interact with customers. I placed my order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. After 20 minutes, I noticed her chatting away with her colleagues, completely ignoring my order and any sense of responsibility. I waited a full 30 minutes before finally going up to ask about my order, only to see it had been sitting on their table the whole time while they stood around gossiping.

If I need to pick up my own food, fine, but at least let me know! No messages, no updates—just pure carelessness. It’s infuriating to see how unprofessional this staff is. We visited Pizza Hut for a dine-in at around 10 p.m. and took advantage of the Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer. Unfortunately, when we started eating, we found that the pizza was a bit undercooked. Since it was getting late, we initially decided to let it slide.

However, the manager, Nabil,H noticed the issue without us even complaining. He was incredibly kind and offered us a free medium pizza to make up for it. To our pleasant surprise, he ended up giving us two medium pizzas as compensation.

Visited Pizza Hut at Havelock Mall and had a great experience! The food was served fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and very helpful throughout.

We tried the small Chicken Pizza, the new "Melts", and the Cinnamon Roll. The Melts were definitely a highlight – tasty and worth trying! However, I wouldn’t personally recommend the Cinnamon Roll; it’s decent but doesn’t quite hit the mark – I’d go for the Lava Cake instead. Overall, a satisfying visit with quality food and service.
