Shiraz Sri Lanka — Restaurant in Colombo

Located just next to the Manhatten fishmarket serving up some fresh shawarmas. It had opened just recently and the smell was enticing when I walked by once so we decided to pop by and grab a quick takeaway.

Note: Parking maybe a little difficult as Manhatten fishmarket fills up quickly, but hey this is a Kiosk so park ahead or before and walk up.

I was ready to place a nice big order but unfortunately they did not have any of the other items like the Hummus and spicy vhicken/beef shawarma so I had to stick with ordering the original shawarma.

The food was good, I would suggest that they add more sauce / mayo so do request for more when your ordering. Apart from that the veggies were fresh and the meat was tender. Price point wise I feel they were affordable for the portion size.

Will give it a shot again next week and update this review after trying out a few...

Well another Arabic food joint to Colombo.. Shiraz is setup at the heart of Colombo late night food area..they still don't have the full menu items such as Hummus.. Kebabs but they were serving shawarmas and burgers.. There is dining available on the 1st floor.. Which is a bit of a difficult climb with the way the stairs are set up.. Shawarma was good.. Would have preferred it to be a little soggy inside.. For my taste it was a bit dry.. But tasted good.. Parking is a concern here..may be you can try parking on the St. ANTHONY'S Road.. They are in the process of bringing up their full operation.. So would visit them again to try their other menu items.. Till then it's recommended for...

The worst sawan I got in my entire lifetime. For Rs.5000/= the kabsa rice chicken sawan was awfully bland. The rice was so dried up and it was tasteless. The kebab pieces was an eyewash. Thank you for the shocking surprise on the festival day. You guys may come and take back the food and feed...
