Tides Restaurant — Restaurant in Colombo

I visited tides for a meeting since my boss was staying at the hotel. We came to the hotel in the evening and my boss went up to his room and asked me to sit at the restaurant and wait and I did not know his room number. I told this to the receptionist and she must have thought I'm trying to steal their food or something and asked for my name and mobile number and wrote it on a piece of paper when she asked me to sit. To add insult to injury then this waiter boy comes along and asks me for my room number again like he was trying to get it out of me by being nice to my face and I replied again that I do not know my bosses room number but he will be along shortly. He then offered me the Ala Carte Menu to which I said I only needed water at that time and I will order later when my boss comes down. He actually went forward and made a hand signal to a girl waiter who was behind me signalling her to keep her eyes on me. He made this gesture with his hands. It was very insulting as they must have assumed I have come to steal food from their third grade buffet which is doused in MSG so you get full when you eat a small portion. I informed my boss when he came down and we brushed it off. But I will never visit this restaurant again. The audacity of the staff there to behave like this is...
