Curry Stop - Marino Food Emporium — Restaurant in Colombo

I tried Sri Lankan Rice and Curry at Curry Stop at Marino Mall Food Court for lunch today. Quite a value for money. Paid Rs.900 for Chicken with white rice and 4 vegetables and papadam. Hygienic and tasty too. Service is ok. Dining place inside is a bit small and more like a canteen seating, so would recommend to take your self service meal and sit outside in a better atmosphere. Would recommend for a quick lunch for office staff too or if you are passing by.

28th July 2024 Sunday Lunch at Curry Stop, Food Emporim, Marina Mall, Colombo 3 Ordered Yellow Rice with Sri Lankan Chicken curry. Total Rs.900 less special 20% Discount, so Rs.780 only It was that Sunday rush with families crowding the lunch outlets at the Food Emporium.  Managed to get my meal within 10 minutes in the que. The usual tasty Sri Lankan meal with the brinjal moju, dhall, kankun tempered, papadam and salad. The complete combination was excellent.  Tasty and hearty meal. Perfect portion size too. We tried Mutton Kothu today. It was listed as Today's Special. Was not expecting a Great Kothu at all but what we got was Amazing. It's a perfect Mutton Kothu with a good chunk of Mutton pieces. The Kothu alone seems to taste great. We have not used the curry they gave anyway. The Kothu had bone pieces as well but still the taste overshadowed that.

This shop is inside the Marino Mall so no comments on seating and atmosphere. The price is on average but mutton kothu seemed expensive for the quantity.

Had to wait for food for more than 45 mins. Seems like they were having lots of orders at the time we visited.

Recommended if you are looking for good food...

I always enjoy visiting Currystop! The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are very generous—sometimes the rice is even enough for two people. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for a tasty and affordable meal.
