Yarl Hotel — Restaurant in Colombo

I recently visited this restaurant in search of authentic Jaffna cuisine, with a specific craving for their seafood and chicken dishes. However, I regret to say that my experience was far from satisfactory. Under the new management, the food quality has significantly declined, leaving much to be desired.

The dishes I ordered lacked the distinctive and mouthwatering flavors that I had come to associate with Jaffna cuisine. It was evident that the care and attention to detail that once made this place exceptional were now absent. The flavors were underwhelming, leaving me disappointed and longing for the authentic taste I had been expecting.

Moreover, the prices of the dishes did not match the quality provided. The portions were smaller than before, and the overall value for money was simply not there. It was disheartening to witness such a decline in both taste and value under the...

I absolutely loved a good crab curry with a proper rice and curry spread which was and I found the perfect place for it.

They have a variety of sea food options to choose from, served with unlimited white or red rice and 4 vegetable curries as well as pappadam fried chilli and rasam. The crab rice and curry was priced at 1350Rs. My nose was running by the end and that's a sign that the crab curry was a success.

I could taste the northern cuisine, with all the Spices and flavours, this was indeed a very delightful meal.

The ambience is a very minimal environment where you could sit and eat the food and not a place to hang out and chill.

This has become a top favourite food joint of mine and I highly recommend food lovers to try...

Ordered set parottas , ghee parottas, omlette curry, and kotthus....the worst experience, there were stones or the charcoal from the cooking coming out of the parottas, the packing was a disaster just paper wrapped in papers and put all the items in a shopping bag...the omelette curry was not omlette curry, just gravy in one bag and Omelettes wrapped separately...this is not the correct time to throw food, however despite that had to take a hard decision to discard it. Sorry nothing impressed me about this restaurant. Quality - Nil, Packaging - Nil, overall rating is very poor.

Please do some justice to the money you charge. Hope the restaurant takes this seriously and try to improve the services and the...
