Edit 2: went her again for lunch service was very crappy. No one came to take the order for about 20mins. Once order food took some time but that can be understood and after that we order another 1 chapathi it took another 20min i had to ask again then only it came. Then ordered deserters it took another 15mins to come. The deserts are already made so it could have come in a couple of min but it didn't. I had to ask 3 times then only it came. Also for the fish masala stay away it felt old gave a funny taste. I am not sure if I would go again. It felt they just kept ignoring us. Bcz we say ppl who came after us was the orders was taken and didn't pay attention to us. Last time also we didn't have water nor cups but this time those 2 was given before the meals came.
Food was good nothing to complain. May be the quantity of the meat portions should be increased we only got 3 piece of mutton for the price its very expensive.
The service last couple of times was good but the last time I went wasn't upto the mark. There was no water no cups I think this should have been the 1st thing which should have come to the table. Also the servers were no where to be found to ask. I had to grab a water bottle from near the door and yet had to drink without a cup. In service number 1 rule always server should be there were a customer can see...
Read moreI recently visited 'Kandoori', an Indian restaurant located in Bambalapitiya, Sri Lanka, after reading some negative reviews online. Despite the mixed feedback, I decided to give it a try with my friends, who had been there before and had positive experiences. To my surprise, the food at Kandoori was absolutely fantastic. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable. We ordered butter naan, kadai mutton, and chicken kurma, which turned out to be a perfect combination. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
However, there were a couple of downsides to our experience. The milkshakes we ordered were not up to par, as the watermelon juice seemed to be made from a stale watermelon. However, when we brought this to the attention of the restaurant staff, they promptly replaced it with an alternative juice. Additionally, the high-rise seats in the restaurant were not designed ergonomically, as they forced us to lean forward towards the table while eating. The back support of the chairs was too far from our bodies. I believe the restaurant should take note of these issues and make improvements.
Overall, despite the minor drawbacks, I had a great dining experience at Kandoori. The delicious food and friendly service outweighed any negatives, and I would definitely recommend giving this...
Read moreKandoori, has become one of our absolute goto spots for Biriyani takeaway and for good reason. We have only ever had their food delivered, but it always arrives fresh, hot, and full of flavor. It’s one of those rare places where the quality stays consistently high, no matter how many times you order.
The portion sizes are generous perfect for sharing or saving for later and the prices are surprisingly reasonable given the quantity and taste. One of our all time favorites would be the Chicken Biriyani Sawan. It’s rich, aromatic, and packed with perfectly cooked rice and tender chicken, ideal for family meals. The Prawn Biriyani is another standout, with juicy prawns and just the right amount of spice.
We also tried the Mutton Kadai, and it was excellent.
Even though we haven’t dined in, every delivery from Kandoori feels satisfying and dependable. The flavors are bold, the food is comforting, and it never fails to hit the spot.
If you're looking for takeaway that’s consistently delicious, filling, and affordable, Kandoori is definitely worth trying. It’s the kind of place you find yourself returning to without hesitation a reliable favorite that delivers exactly what you’re craving, every...
