Anyone who has been to Galle Fort, would have come across this street rotti shop. This tiny shop is very much popular among the locals for their "egg rotti". The place is locally known as "නානාගේ රොටි කඩේ".
And it is completely reasonable. Every weekend I buy an egg rotti along with some other short eats. And this makes the visit to Galke Fort a bliss. Bad hygiene, of course. But, what the hell. Loved it.

I'm not sure if this is the usual but today's foods were prepared and stored in boxes. The egg roti was really spicy and not as good when it's not made fresh. The egg roll though was delicious with a curry paste, hard boiled egg and potato.
