Light House View Inn — Hotel in Galle

A pig in a poke. We booked a room on the Agoda for 3 nights. A very unpleasant person has conducted a ground floor room. What was a shock when we didn't find a shower and promised air-conditioner! And the only window looked out into the courtyard overlooking the dirty and cold watered shower & toilet. It was also common shower with cold water and toilet to all residents of the first floor! Besides, ground floor has a terrible dirt. Lots of visitors come around the clock. Some go away at the same moment. The hostess Mrs. Anwar spoils the impression immediately: "The Chinese people coming like cockroaches. And you are Russians, right? Christians. You are rich people". So, Muslim lady has barely beat in the conversation. But that's not all. Cheating and lying transpired when we rebelled and demanded a room as it was described on Agoda. To which she said: “Again, this all has confused Agoda. I'll give you the day after tomorrow upstairs room with air conditioning and a shower for some higher fee”…Bent price per night already fifty five dollars! But we were so tired on the ground floor these two nights. We turned a blind eye on the person of Mrs. Anwar, because in the tourist season we had no choice. What were the shock and disappointment from the top floor! We were promised to clean the room and change clothes after the previous guests. The bedclothes wasn’t changed. Refueled old linens and slightly scuffed floor. I found under my pillow two black women's hair and sand on the sheet at the foot-side of the bed. Stench was same, as in the soldiers' barracks. Smoking guests just walk onto the balcony of the hotel, which is on the second floor. And it is always three to six people. Smoke over the stench and dirt - it is prohibitive. The hostess had a malicious smile, when we were checking off: "I hope to see you again". No Mrs. Anwar. We'll never set foot in your dirty hole - building, and we strongly not...

It is very comfortable, quiet, cute, and cozy place. The two bedroom apartment upstairs of a historical home. Have a kitchen with the fridge, stove, tea kettle, and dining room as well. I booked the biggest room with an upstairs nook. Nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Beautiful porch overlooking the sea and light house. Everything is very clean. The bed is very comfortable. The location is just amazing. The owners are very sweet and attentive. Mrs. Anwar is a wonderful lady. They always came and asked me if I needed anything. It is safe as well as you get the keys for the front door and for the room as well. Owners are nearby and always available. They also have a juice shop where you can get tea, coffee, water and juices. I really enjoyed...
