Cafés can focus on different things. They can be hip and quirky, cosy and friendly or serve a mean menu. Café con leche doesnt focus on any of these. Instead it operates firmly at the intersection between the three providing the café experience equivalent of the friend you always can rely on in times of need, even if you havent seen them for years. Its a place the locals return to; on the first date, for brunch after a night out, with the kids and to read the paper with reading glasses over a cup-o-joe.

We were searching for a breakfast spot before a 7hr ride back to Norway.. every place we first tried were closed.. it was a blessing that guided us to this awesome spot! We walked in and the owner had barely opened shop and told us she needed 10-15 mins to get everything baking and ready, but welcomed us to sit and have some water while she set-up. . OMG, the food, so fresh and soooo yum..the coffee and tea was just what the doctor ordered, and the desserts were spot on. If i could go back just to eat there again, I would. Sweetest lady and the atmosphere was cozy but still perfect for on the go....

Big breakfast meal for 125 SEK By big I mean enormous. Delicious fresh baked bread, varying options of toppings (went for pesto mozzarella with ham), juice, egg, huge coffee (espresso and brewed options) yogurt with muesli and berries. Cute little birds may accompany you politely if you sit outside. A sweet Turkish lady at the counter does her best to speak English, and will serve you with a smile.
