Floating Saigon — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

We stopped at this place for brunch after taking a cruise around Gothenburg. We stopped here because of the delicious smell coming from their kitchen. The smell was powerful and made us very hungry.

Like most places in Sweden ordering was not an issue because many people in Sweden are proficient in English (I’m American and I can only speak English). We were seated extremely fast which was great.

The food was enjoyable. The portion sizes were very generous. A single appetizer is enough to share between two people. We ordered three appetizers between the four of us and everything was delicious.

I had the apple martini they make it a little different than what I am use to, here they use a sour mix so it was more like a sour apple martini.

This is a great spot to sit and have lunch during a day out exploring the city.

It's ok. Not wow, but not bad. They don't speak English too well so one of my orders was wrong. They were apologetic but that's about where it ended. Portion size is small and price is not so small. Actually for what one gets it's very over priced in my opinion. Not on my "must eat there" list. Also, no pho soup available even though that is one of Vietnams best known and most eaten dish. That was very disappointing. They want you to pay before you get your bill which is something I've never experienced - what the hell? The food was really good but the service was awful. People behind us in line were seated first despite us having a reservation. Got yelled at when I tried to go to the bathroom though my dinner partner had just gone without issue. Waitress made a big deal about asking me where I wanted to sit and then refused every ask I made (Asked if I wanted to sit inside or outside, I said inside and she took us outside. Asked if I want to sit in the sun or shade, said shade and got sat in the sun. Was asked to pick between two tables, tried to sit at the table I wanted and was ushered to the other one instead.
