Kungstorgets Brygghus — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I had dinner and a beer with a friend here recently. The food was actully not bad at all and the sortiment of beers was broad. I only have one point of critisism and it is regarding service. It was very unclear if there was Table service or not. We came in and said we were gonna eat and drink but no one supplied us with any sort of menu. So I askes one of the waiters if I could grab a menu from waitress shelf. We decide on food in about 5 mins and put the menu to the side to indicate that we had selected what we wanted to eat, we waited for about 30 minutes for someone to take our order(not alot of people there, and we wern’t in a rush either) but no one came. My friend went to the bar and ordered and that is that. My point being even if you don’t have table service you wanna make it as easy as possible for your guest, not as unclear as possible. A pleasant bar with a decent selection of drinks in central Gothenburg. Kungstorgets Brygghus is spacious so it can be a good place for a large group of friends and/or work colleagues. We didn’t order food when we visited but they had a good selection of typical Swedish food on their menu. In terms of the drinks that we did order (local beers on tap), they were as expected.

The atmosphere was pretty good too, generally speaking, it helps that whoever put together their playlist had great taste in music (at least when we visited). Though in terms of atmosphere, the back of the bar was a bit lacking. One other plus for us was how they allow dogs in their bar. Overall, I would recommend Kungstorgets Brygghus...

It was our first day in Gothenburg and we were looking for a local restaurant for lunch. We had just finished the boat tour of the city and walked by Kungstorgets Byrgghus. We walked inside and found a very charming restaurant. The staff were very polite and attentive, which is appreciated for people who don't speak the native language. The food was excellent. We had the poached salmon and pork schnitzel. The craft beer selection was also very good. We like IPA beers and they had good selections on tap. The Kungstorgets Byrgghus is a restaurant definitely visiting...
