I have a very strong opinion on this place.
Initially i added a review that the waiter was rude without much context.
Here is the whole story:
We had a reservation and came early and wanted to wait in the restaurant instead of roaming elsewhere. When it was time of our reservation we went near to a waiter - who was rude saying you can’t just have the table. That was also fine. We asked if we can order before getting seated he said that it was not a fast food center. Later when we were trying to order for a pasta and tiramisu. The waiter who was not at all patient in listening to our order or have given us the time to think about it started to say that you need to order atleast 2 main courses since you have a reservation booked. He did not say this in a decent way. He was in a hurry and told us to decide and left to attend another table. We did not understand we called another who explained in a very decent way and patiently explained the restaurant rule which we weren’t notified earlier. In the mean time the rude waiter came back and said this is how people usually eat and kind of indirectly indicated that we can leave if we are not ready to order here. Even then agreeing to the restaurants rules we ended up ordering 2 main courses - pasta, pizza and a dessert
After this happend: I added a review saying that the “waiters were rude and the hospitality was bad” when i was in the restaurant. That is when things turned out creepy. The waiter came and said when we were having our dinner - “it was so matured of us to post a review of that experience which we went through. And then stated that he was not a waiter but the restaurant owner.” in a very not so good way.
We literally did not want to stay in that place for any long. We did not enjoy the food however great it maybe.
It was our first visit and definitely the last.
The issue was not about the wait or the table it was about the owners behaviour towards the customer. Because we were aware that we were early and it was cold outside instead we wanted to wait in the restaurant.
Also, want to state that the waiters were very friendly and patient but the owner wasn’t.
If you are going on your special occassion try to go to somewhere else to enjoy your moments.

Read moreWe decided on this restaurant as we saw great reviews online. We loved their mains and the desserts. Found the starters ok. For example in ''Olive Italiane e grissini '' which was basically olives served with some breadsticks. The breadstick tasted very bland and dry. Did not like the combo of the two. Also in the starter ''Mini Caprese di Bufala '' I expected more tomatoes, but actually it was only 1 tomato sliced into half. I was disappointed.
Next came the biggest problem of our night: To serve our mains, which was 1 veg pasta and 1 veg pizza, took them around 40-45mins to give us. One waiter said ''pasta had some issues'', then another waiter said ''we had a big table, so their order took time'' another waiter kept saying ''it is coming, it is coming'' Finally after our long wait the mains were delivered.
To be honest the mains tasted delicious, especially the pasta ''Pappardelle ai Funghi e Salsa al Tartufo nero'' and the portion size was big.
The two desserts we had ordered, came and they also tasted great.
They had enough vegetarian options. So a great choice for vegetarians this restaurant.
Though the staff said sorry for the delay, they did nothing to make it better. For example some discounts in our final bill, or some free drinks or some free starters or anything like offered some chocolates/desserts could have been welcome. They clearly prioritised other guests as I kept seeing all around us get their orders, when they should have given same importance to all their guests.
Clearly we will not be back even though the food tasted good as our experience was poor and our dinner ended finishing so late thanks to their super super super late...
Read moreHello Guys, as you know I am always on the road; and this time I am located in Gothenburg, Sweden. I decided to visit few places around Gothenburg and now is time of Magazzino Restaurant (Italian style, recipes from the North of Italy).
Starter is totally Italian. I personally suggest the Caprese with buffalo mozzarella with Parma Ham; or the Tuna Carpaccio.
main Course: my favourite one is the Gnocchi, really charming Gnocchi swimming in the cheese; than, if you are not happy, add some extra parmesan; something also nice was the Pappardelle. the two risotto with Brasato meat or with taleggio cheese are also something special. Eat with a nice glass of wine.
Main course Pizza: Bianca di bufala or Tirolese.
Meat: Tagliata, or the brasato meat and the deer rack are some valid alternatives if you are not vegetarian.
dessert: it's mandatory a tiramisu or panna cotta.
If you are the right mood, enjoy the grappa or other Italian liquors.
Well, for the service, first I suggest you to book, especially if you try to eat on Friday and Saturday; then, when booked, ask to be served by Achille, he is Italian and he will take good care of you, from the Aperitif, special drinks, wine and good advice about food.
