Manfred's Brasserie exceeded expectations, delivering an outstanding dining experience that justifies a solid 5/5 rating. This restaurant, renowned for its schnitzels, not only lived up to its reputation but surpassed it.
The impeccable service was a standout, with the staff consistently serving with a genuine smile throughout the evening—a commendable touch that added to the overall enjoyment.
The appetizers, featuring chevre and beef tartare, were generously portioned and bursting with flavor. The heated chevre was perfectly cooked, offering a delightful melt-in-the-mouth experience with a bold, rich taste. The beef tartare, in true French style, came with a diverse selection of small spices and sauces, enhancing the overall experience. You could mix it yourself which is a small, but important detail and it looked very inviting.
The schnitzel, a famous highlight, was nothing short of extraordinary. Enormous in size, the batter achieved a perfect balance—crispy on the outside and irresistibly juicy on the inside. Well-cooked, well-sized, and bursting with flavor, it claimed the title of the best schnitzel in town for all four of us.
Dining with three others, the atmosphere was vibrant, gradually filling up as the evening progressed. The genuine experience from start to finish added to the overall positive impression.
While the dessert may not have reached the same heights as the main dishes, it was still a tasty conclusion to an exceptional meal.
In conclusion, Manfred's Brasserie offers a dining experience that goes beyond expectations. From the outstanding schnitzels to the impeccable service and vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant sets a high standard and earns a well-deserved 5/5 rating. A good price to quality ratio, and definitely a place I...
Read moreSurprisingly authentic-feeling and very cosy restaurant with great friendly service and great food. Our party of six tried the classic Wiener schnitzel and the lamb racks, in addition to potato gnocchi (daily specials) starters, as well as a range of deserts. Schnitzels were huge, even the half portions, and were served with Austrian potato salad (using vinegar but little or no mayonnaise) - something rarely seen in Scandinavia - a side of salad and boiled potatoes with parsley. Very nice. The lamb rack was super tender and very flavourful too. All desserts were great, the chocolate fondant was liquid inside as it is supposed to be. Pairing the great authentic food, German/Austrian/Swiss drinks menu (beer/wine) with the small a and cosy place as well as the service this is a place to...
Read moreFood served based on genuinely well thought through recipes combining the best resources into a culinary experience. However many of the dishes won't be sampled because the Wienerschnitzel is simply one of the best in Europe. You'd have to travel to Austria or Bavaria to find anything better. Lately white asparagus is served but the chef refuses to combine it with the schnitzel as is customary in Bavaria in spring time together with sauce hollandaise. Maybe if we all nag a bit more he'll...
