If you were blindfolded and taken into this bar, you’d swear you were in a 200-300 hundred year old Czech-style bar. In fact. Unless you stand outside and look at the actual building, which is stylish and modern, you’d be forgiven if you thought you were in an authentic heritage bar. The wood interiors, the almost cigarette-stained-looking ceilings, the traditional style of pouring beers, the little bar and counter, even the toilets look centuries old. The attention to detail is incredible. It reminded me of several genuinely old bars I’ve visited in Amsterdam. I can honestly say, Pivo is the best beer bar I’ve been to in Malmö after visiting this city multiple times a year for the past 7 years. Read moreIt's almost mindblowing that you can find a place like this in Sweden. In a way, it's more Czech than bars in the actual Czechia - it has the kind of vibe you get from the old Czech movies with the main difference being that Pivo has a friendly service rather than an angry waiter :)

I LOVE my my amazing, vibrant little home town - MALMÖ!!! Occasionally I go for a walk - just to explore what's new and quite often I find something new and exciting!
On the way home I found a little Czech bar - simply named Pivo - Slavic for BEER!
AND the beer is good! Not my favourite Czech beer! But among the best I've had in Malmö! AND I'M PICKY!
