The place looks great, pity the logic got lost on the way. We showed up as a big group, and apparently that meant we had to order the set menu. Fine. But when we asked what’s actually on it, the answer was: “It’s a surprise.” A surprise! Because who doesn’t love gambling with religious dietary restrictions? So there we were, playing culinary roulette until the plates arrived. To keep the mood intact, we switched to vegetarian menus. The food? Genuinely tasty, no complaints there. Then came the bill. Surprise number two: vegetarian meals cost the same as meat ones. When we asked why, the response was pure poetry: “It is what it is.” Translation: don’t ask questions, just pay up. We ended up paying SEK 650 for some salad, beans and pavlova PER PERSON! Looks like the only real set menu here is: Confusion for starters, Frustration for mains, and a Side of Silence when you ask for explanations. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I recently dined at Ruths in Malmö and was excited to try their salt cod brandade, served with marinated friggitelli peppers, potatoes, black olives, and parsley. The dish itself was quite tasty, with well-balanced flavors, and the complimentary bread was excellent. However, midway through enjoying the meal, we found a long strand of hair in the cod, which was extremely off-putting. We returned the dish, and the staff handled the situation by offering us a 30% discount on both of our meals, along with complimentary coffee. While I appreciated the gesture and their efforts to make it right, the experience still left me disappointed, as I expected more in terms of quality control for a place with such a reputation. Hopefully, it was a one-off issue, but it did affect my impression of the restaurant.

Was looking forward to a birthday dinner at Ruths, after today I can’t and I will not recommend it. Worst customer service ever…

We booked an inside table but being extremely hot inside we asked for a table outside. The table they offered us was extremely close to the one behind it and we tried to explain to them that there is no way we would fit. The answer we got was “this is not your table, you booked an inside table” as if they were making a favour to us…

I totally understand that we booked a table inside and not in the courtyard but what bothered us was the complete lack of welcomeness and customer service, nobody bothered to try to find another solution or use a friendly tone. The whole discussion revolved around the fact that we didn’t book a table in the courtyard from the beginning.

After accepting that we don’t have any other choice, we asked a waiter if he could move the table behind us so that we can all fit. The answer was “I actually can’t”, we then asked the person behind us to move so that we can sit at our table. I don’t understand why the waiter didn’t ask the question himself…

15min probably went by and a waiter came to our table and asked us to leave as we apparently bothered other guests.

My question is, what’s the difference between the guests we supposedly bothered and us - at a restaurant that pretends to be one of the...

I have been to this place 3 times and save the last visit, rest of visitings were alright, I liked it. That's why I went there again. But my third visit was quite dissapointing. I ordered french toast and latte. And when I was finishing the half of the toast, I found some foreign substance. I thought it was a peel of some fruit in a jam, but it was very sturdy and felt like a piece of plastic. So I spat it out and checked what it is. It was a piece of something, which isn't eatable. So I told them and the chef asked me if I would want a new one. I said no and finished my coffee. And when I went to the counter to pay, the staff tried to charge me the price of the toast, telling me that was just a egg shell and I had some of the toast.

I told her that as I found it, I stopped eating and didn't ask for a new one.

Then she said alright and only charged me for latte.

The egg shell was as tough as latex gloves so that that was not likely to be crushed by chewing with...

It was my birthday and I booked a table for a lovely Sunday lunch at 12:30 for 4 people, we arrived 12:25 and were guided to the table, no one came to take our orders for food or even for a drink until 12:50. Both the food and even the wine that I ordered came at least 30 min after they took the order so let's say around 13:20! The waitress had zero knowledge about the menu! Even thought I wrote in the booking that we had milk protein allergy and a gluten free. After getting our order and getting the wrong wine at first, then thankfully the right one 15 min after that. We had literally 40 min to eat and get out of there since they are closing the restaurant at 14:00. I still gave them a 15% tip because it's literally not their fault but it's definitely the fault of the manager who is putting them in that position with no actual training or experience. We all left super disappointed and will...
