Bistro Süd — Restaurant in Stockholm

We came 6 people for an 80 years birthday celebration, when we got an elderly man as a waiter. The man never paid full attention to our request and were always very stress and nonchalant. When we finally had order our main cours and it came in, two of the dishes were not to taste, we kindly noted this to the waiter when he started off by telling us that we from the beginning were verry roude to him and that nothing was to our satisfaction. This was made in a personal way that made us almost leave, if it wasn’t for the other waitress who manage to calm the situation down…

In all we noted that this elderly man owned the place and this in terms made the experience even worse… It’s a shame to the service industry and to his staff in the kitchen who over all made amazing food!

I’f it wasn’t for the 80 year celebration with an elderly woman we would have left the place...

The restaurant in general was good with food and service but there was this one particular rude waiter who ruined the fun for us(me with my friends who came Sweden as visitors). The waiter was rude from the beginning in many ways which we ignored but I finally lost it when he started taking the stroller somewhere from inside the restaurant through the stairs in which my 9 months old daughter was sleeping without belt strapped. She could have fell while he was holding the stroller in the slanting position and when I screamed he said 'he dint know the child was in there' and I should take it easy. Seemed clearly a wrong guy for service industry. He was clearly racist and posing such a bad impression of Sweden to my visitor friends which rather is a beautiful country. I had the pike-perch entree with fresh chanterelles in a light cream sauce and roasted Jerusakem artichokes. My companion had the monkfish cheeks with dill and salmon roe.. Both entrees were delicious and beautifully plated. Charming, casual neighborhood ambience. Great service, attentive but not hovering, and we were able to dine leisurely with no pressure on us to finish up so they could turn the table. We were there on a Tuesday night. Restaurant was full and a little noisy if you're seeking quiet conversation space. All in all, though, for quality of food and overall experience we were pleased and...
