I’ve had Johan & Nyström on my list for years, and I’m so glad we finally gave it a try, especially since we happened to be nearby. The cafe is tucked right at the intersection of Swedenborgsgatan and Maria Prästgårdsgata, making it a perfect spot for people-watching. With large glass windows and generous outdoor seating on both sides of the street, it’s ideal for enjoying a sunny fika while watching the world go by. There’s also plenty of seating indoors, which makes it a cozy option year round, whether you're looking for a quiet corner to work or a place to catch up with a friend. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, but what truly stood out was the coffee. It was, without exaggeration, one of the best we’ve had in a long time, incredibly smooth, balanced, and rich in flavor. Both my husband and I were impressed with our drinks: the latte and cappuccino were equally memorable. As I sit here writing this, I’m already thinking about our next visit. This place has definitely earned a spot among my favorite cafes...

I can not believe what experience I had here. First I had to stand outside in line because they only allowed 2 customers to stand inline inside. That is strange but ok. When I got inside I had to stand in square taped to the floor. I did not realize it. I found it out when I walked futher to see if there is any free seats. The barista came after me and told to go back to the square. Same thing while I wanted to take a closer look of product shelves. He spent more time chasing the customers than making proper coffee. The result was a coffee even I can make better. Dishwater. The place is run by paranoids. Hard to understand why they even bother keep it open. It is pitty because J&N coffee used to be good. At least in their location...

Johan & Nyström on Swedenborgsgatan is a cozy haven for coffee enthusiasts. The inviting ambiance and good coffee make for a delightful experience.

However, it's worth noting that the café is quite small, which might pose a challenge in finding a suitable spot, especially during peak times. On the plus side, their commitment to following COVID-19 rules is commendable and adds a sense of safety to the visit – it's definitely a feature to appreciate.

For individuals or small groups seeking a relaxed coffee time, this place fits the bill perfectly. Just be mindful that if you're part of a larger group, securing a spot together might prove a bit difficult. Regardless, Johan & Nyström's charm and coffee quality...

This is for people who are serious about their coffee or tea. Lots of different flavors to choose. I tried the Ethiopian FTO, and that was the best coffee I had this week. Sandwiches are also very good. I had the smörrebröd (Danish sandwich on dark rye bread) with ham and horseradish. I knew I was pushing the envelope with this choice, but they had managed to get the flavors just right without going overboard with the horseradish. Very tasty. The interior is cozy, with pillows, small tables everywhere. This makes for a great meeting place. Staff is friendly and welcoming and seem genuinely interested in their craft. I'm very pleased with my visit and will swing by again if I'm in the neighborhood.

We had a selection of drinks including a oat cappuccino, milk cappuccino, lemon brew, oat chai latte with an avo sandwich. This is a popular place and had plenty of cosy seating inside as well as outdoor seating. I also really liked the idea of a barista course that they offer. We were quite disappointed with this place when it came to drinks however. The cappuccinos were good, but the lemon brew was quite an odd taste and the oat chai latte was basically water and cinnamon in a cup. The staff were super helpful though, and were happy to change the oat chai latte for a mocha, which was much better on flavour. So for the service would give it a 4* but overall drinks were disappointing.

I don’t understand what’s so famous about this cafe except for their sitting space. Yeah they have nice windows space for casual sitting and comfort chit chat. But coffee was the regular. When I asked the guy at the counter to order if they have any flavors for latte or känelbullar or some other fika items(other than these small pastry kinda they have), he was like we are very traditional and was kinda rude. I thought bullars were traditional too and also how does adding flavors make coffee non traditional. I didn’t feel the vibe to be honest, but others might like it. May be I expected more and missed something
