Mariaberget is one of Stockholm’s most charming and picturesque neighborhoods, located on the western edge of Södermalm. With its cobblestone streets, colorful 18th- and 19th-century buildings, and peaceful atmosphere, it feels like stepping back in time. The area offers stunning views of Lake Mälaren and Riddarholmen from Monteliusvägen, a scenic walking path perfect for sunsets and photography. Despite being close to the city center, Mariaberget retains a calm, almost village-like vibe. It's an ideal spot for a quiet stroll, romantic walk, or peaceful reflection. A must-see for visitors who appreciate history, beauty, and breathtaking panoramic views...

This is a great observation deck it has panoramic views of the city of Stockholm from here. We only spent a few minutes here but I could imagine how some people could spend hours here. There is also many benches here to sit relax and take in the views from here. When we were here there were quite a few people but there were still benches too sit down and there lots of people taking photos. I would definitely come back here again if in Stockholm again. If I lived here I could see my self...

The view from the top is always beautiful, well, most of the time. In this case, it’s true. Stockholm is home to another gem that offers a breathtaking panoramic view from the top. However, reaching the top requires a lot of steps and a narrow pathway. One end of the pathway has a rail for wheelchairs or strollers, while the other is lined with numerous stone steps. There are plenty of benches to relax and enjoy the stunning view. Is it worth climbing? Perhaps, but you’ll have to decide...
