My wife and I stopped at Cafe Tidemans on our way to a boat cruise we had booked. We were looking for a nice filling meal before a 3 hour boat cruise.
The staff was very friendly and offered us English menus and a seat while we decided what to order. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table.
We ordered a quattro formaggi pizza and the home made Swedish meatballs. The pizza was likely enough to cover a decent lunch for the two of us, and it was very similar to pizza we have had in Rome, Italy so we thought it was excellent.
The meatballs come with mashed potatoes, lingon berries, and the gravy. These were the best meatballs we had on our trip to Sweden. We weren't trying meatballs everywhere, but we did have some at a fancy resort that didn't measure up to these.
Overall the food was very good, the staff was helpful and friendly, the restaurant was clean, and if you're an American used to larger portion sizes, they certainly beat out most if not all of the places we went on that marking. I wouldn't hesitate to return anytime. If it was local, we might...
