Vanadis Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Stockholm

I live in the area and usually go to a different sushi place, which was closed today, so though I'd try something new. I ordered takeaway sushi and took a bowl of miso soup while waiting. I've been to many sushi places, in various different conutries, and this has always been on offer. I asked if they had a spoon and the man at the sushi counter looked at me weirdly and asked me if I was going to eat in - which he knew very well wasn't the case as I just ordered take-away sushi from him five minutes earlier. The exchange was super weird and I felt too uncomfortable to sit down eating the soup, ending up with me standing up eating it (as I had already filled up the bowl). Apparently I should have chosen the takeaway soup and broke the miso-soup rules. Again, I've ALWAYS been offered to either sit in or take with, feels pretty normal, in particular in an almost empty restaurant as this was. Thus, no issues with tables or Covid-19. I had a great experience at Vanadis Sushi Bar! The sushi was excellent, fresh, and well-prepared, and the poke bowl was both filling and refreshing. They also have two beers on tap (Krušovice and Mariestads), which paired nicely with the food.

The service was warm and friendly, which really added to the overall atmosphere. I did find the pop music a little on the loud side—slightly more muted background music would make the setting even more enjoyable.

One big plus: they’re open on Sunday evenings, which is super convenient when many other places in Stockholm are closed.

During my visit to Vanadis Sushi Bar, I found the atmosphere pleasant, and the service was friendly. However, there was a mix-up with my order. Instead of the 50/50 salmon and avocado combination I requested, I was served 10 bites of salmon. While the mistake didn’t bother me too much, the sushi itself was rather mediocre, lacking in freshness and flavor.
