We’ve tried to go to Piccola Nonna three times. The first two attempts were honestly a bit frustrating—although the place says it closes at 8 PM, by around 6 PM they were either already sold out or had a waiting list of over an hour. It might help to clarify this better online or manage expectations around peak hours.
When we finally made it, we were excited to try the much-hyped pizzas. The dough is genuinely one of the best I’ve had in Stockholm—light, flavorful, and perfectly baked. And big kudos for the wide range of vegan and vegetarian options—that’s definitely something to celebrate!
However, the toppings were… surprisingly underwhelming. My boyfriend’s pizza was supposed to include meat, but it felt more like a margherita with four tiny pieces scattered on top. Mine, had five half olives and three small pieces of artichoke. The rest? Just tomato and cheese. For the price and reputation, you expect a pizza that feels a bit more generous and satisfying.
The atmosphere is cozy, with nice music, decor, and a good vibe overall. The service was okay—not particularly warm, especially during peak times or when they were sold out, which makes the whole experience feel a bit rushed.
In short: there’s potential, and with a few tweaks—especially with consistency in service and more thoughtful toppings—it could really live...
Read moreAmazing place for traditional neopolitan pizza. We came from London and needed something quick to eat near the area. Stopped by as it had great reviews. When I say that it lived up to its incredible rating I mean it. The food throughout was amazing. Every pizza was incredible. The real stars are the dough and the cheese that makes each pizza an incredible base for quality ingredients. The server/cook was quick to serve and extremely friendly and patient. We needed her to explain the menu and she did it with expertise. She may not be Italian (owners are), but her passion for Pizza is real. Amazing prices too! About 125 kr per pizza which is about £9 for all you londoners. 1 pizza is sufficient for 1 person if really really hungry. We had 4 among 6. All in all first class. Definitely the best pizza I had outside of Italy and definitely worth several visits.
One thing to note- there are only about 6-7 pizza’s you can order. All are vegetarian. Meat substitutes used instead of real meat. This doesn’t compromise on taste though. Still tasted amazing. Vegan...
Read more3.5* As huge pizza lovers, we decided to try this place due to honourable mention on top50 pizza ranking, and were unfortunately disappointed. We arrived on Friday around 17:30 and there was one last free table, so come early if you want to visit. From 18:00, people started queuing outside and inside which was uncomfortable as the place was packed. We waited for the pizza for around 30 mins. There is available water and they have good selection of drinks incl. Italian lemonades. The pizza itself was below average and varied in quality. We had two margeritas - mine was very dry, both the dough and the sugo on top. My partner’s pizza was better, around 2/3 of the pizza were very good - dough was soft, full of flavour, the middle runny and with strong taste of the toppings. It had potential of 4 stars review if the quality was consistent. The tables and area in general was not super clean as the staff was not able to keep up with the number of guests. There is one toilet if you go through...
