Restaurang Kinamuren — Restaurant in Stockholm

Without my personal opinion included, if you're looking for a place that does not spark contextless luxury, but an actual beauty and a soul, this is your place to go. Food is tasty, not oversaturated & neutrally seasoned, very well and properly cooked according to the authentic original a very reasonable selection of food, from sushi, to noodles, rice along with a separe freezer with ice cream! Tea or coffee or extra drinks at the bar. Staff is not fake creepy & smile happy like in most bizzare "high end" restaurants, but they actually feel very human, courteous and direct, very well mannered and serve with efficiency and it shows. The whole place feels like home, you come in, a little bar welcomes you, the person doesn't waste their words, instead gets straight to business and that's the way to go, you're hungry and came to eat, not to talk about your stroll with grandma, proceeding further down you can see a small rack for your clothes which adds alot to the homey feeling. The place has several small and medium rooms, along with one large dining room, there's a choice for everyone. All rooms feel very well isolated and peaceful, with beautiful non-generic Chinese design which feels soulful, fruitful and relaxing. You can tell that this place is ran by good people, very good energy.

I've been reading most of the one star and two star reviews and during my 5th visit i can clearly deduct that they're false. None of that happened and everything was always in order. Would highly recommend over any fancy restaurant if you're interested in...

Unfortunately not as expected as previous reviewers had recommended the buffet.

Price for the buffet was 178Kr, which itself is a very nice price for a buffet.

First thing that I have to mention is that all of the cooked meats and deep fried food, like Shrimps, were dry and overcooked. The sauces for the warm Buffet were not tasty and were also not matching the taste from the cooked and fried food.

Even the noodles, which should be easy to cook for an Asian cook, were not tasting good. There should be more asian flavor inside and things should have been cooked right on spot instead of overcooking things.

I moved on to the fresh side of the buffet. A lot of choices like Shrimps, beef, chicken, calamar and other nice fresh meats and choice of fish. Beside a lot of fresh vegetables. That first sounded like a delicious and good alternative to the overcooked and untasty warm buffet. It might have been good if the sauces would have had a better taste. My Mix of sauce was recommended by the local staff so I had expected nice flavors in the food.

If the warm buffet would be cooked less and if the sauces would be more tasty and would have more asian spices ans also if the sauces for the raw buffet would be changed this could be a good Restaurant.

Then the price could also be up to 220Kr for buffet if those will change.

Actually even the 178Kr are to much since too many things does not match the expectation.

I forgot to mention the dry and untasty rice if the sushi. No taste of vinegar, very dry at several...

This review is written comparing the price to food quality.

The location of "Kinamuren" is quite a good spot, they are close to the city centre also to the train station. We were welcomed by the staff almost like if they were in a hurry, they lead us straight to our seats. The interior were quite outdated, reminded me more like a chinese/middle eastern knockoff rather than chinese themed restaurant.

Now let's talk about the food. For being a buffet priced at 178kr/16.95€/20$, it's one of the lowest standards I've ever come across. The food tastes mildly spoiled and cheap, It's more like a school cathering rather than a real restaurant. Atleast the drinks do hide the awful taste. The desserts are fine, they got icecream with some variety of toppings to it and some fruits.

This place doesn't deserve the reputation it got, those prices is more than the amount than what it should cost for that quality. I am seriously dissappointed, I spent 178kr on this, even a cup of instant noodles would satisfy me more than this...
