Thai House Wok — Restaurant in Stockholm

I was taking a stroll around the lovely town of Stockholm. My stomach was growling uncontrollably, so like anyone would, I looked up the nearest asian restaurant and found this place… At first glance it looked like your average thai food location, but little did I know what was about to unfold. I walked into the restaurant, sat down and ordered myself a cheeky chicken red curry that my pal Terry Dodson had recommended me. The food finally arrived after about 10 minutes of suspenseful waiting. At first the red curry tasted bloody amazing, I scarfed it down in the matter of 5 minutes, I felt a bit sluggish afterwards but I didn’t suspect anything YET. I made my way back home, halfway there my stomach started bubbling as I was 3 minutes away from the metro station, I felt that I had to get myself to a toilet at any price. When I arrived just outside of the metro station, about to take the stairs down. My biggest nightmare became my reality, the metro was packed of kids and adults of all ages - surrounding me. I had to try my best to sprint through the horde of people around me, desperately pushing and shoving people aside. But I felt that nothing I could possibly do, could change the inevitable consequences of what my fate has led me to. I was dripping cold sweats, people all around me staring as I violently started shitting and puking over myself. I have been a regular here since it opened, maybe 10 years now. Unfortunately it's really gone downhill. They've halved the number of tables and reduced the number of staff. If you book a table for 7pm, you'll be lucky to get seated by 7:30, since you'll have to queue up for half an hour just to speak to anyone. There's such a queue of people ordering take away that you will be lucky to have ordered after being there for an hour. 10 minutes after we ordered, they warned us that our food would take a while. We said fine, just bring the Edamame now. They didn't. Instead our two hot dishes came first, then the Edamame a few minutes later. My son sat without any food and I had to stand up and speak to the staff to get his sushi, which finally arrived about 20 minutes later. In the meantime I tried to order a drink: impossible ("Just give me a minute!").

They should split this place into two restaurants: one for take-away and one for sit down. Or even better: all take away orders via an App (Foodora etc). As it is now, it's just chaos with the phone ringing constantly and people everywhere.

After 10 years of eating here, I will not...

We used to love getting lunch at this place. However, recently, maybe in the past couple of months (Aug/Sep/Oct 2023), their food has gone down hill.

We have tried the lunch menu, green curry with beef, the pork basil and pad Thai on different dates. They were all disappointing. At first we thought it was one-off incident which could happen to any restaurant. So, we went back on two other occasions. The results were the same.

The pork and beef looked and tasted like jerky. The basil pork dish had no flavor. The pad Thai was mostly overcooked noodle. I understand that the cost has gone up. I'd rather have them raise the lunch special menu price than to have used lower quality ingredients and smaller portions. Our coworkers and I don't think that we will go back any time soon, unless they revert back to the same quality as what...
