Pizza lovers, rejoice! Meno Male in Östermalm is the real deal. From the moment we walked in, the mouthwatering aroma of fresh pizza wafted through the air. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with a rustic Italian feel.
The menu features a variety of classic and creative pizzas, all made with high-quality ingredients. We tried the Margherita and some other pizza, and they were both delicious. Look at it!
The crust had a nice chew and satisfying crunch, with a well-developed flavor thanks to the skillful use of high-quality flours and fermentation techniques. The Margherita, a classic pizza, was a standout with its simple yet delicious toppings of fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato sauce. The Quattro Formaggi was also noteworthy, it was rich and decadent, with an expertly balanced blend of cheeses. The toppings were well-distributed and fresh, and the portion sizes were generous, just like an italian father.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. It's a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or a date night.
In conclusion, Meno Male is a must-try for any pizza lover visiting Östermalm. The pizza is authentic and delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive....
Read moreI came in a little late at the evening, and was told that they were closing soon. “Would I have time to eat my pizza?”, I wondered. Yes, I could. I ordered my beer and my cheese pizza which was served short after.
There was something strange about the staff and their attitude that didn't quite match my expectations. None of them spoke Swedish and their English wasn't that good from the little conversation we had.
Anyway, my pizza was more like a warm cheese sandwich. I love cheese, so eating a cheese sandwich was no problem.
I was barely ready with my dinner before I was asked to leave the place. She said that she has to close the restaurant. She literally kicked me out! There was a guy sitting at the cashier drinking beer, when I left.
I think that they need probably to learn a little Swedish and English and get more data about the culture of the country and the neighborhood, because you don't kick a customer out like that in Sweden and certainly not in Östermalm.
I also noticed that they are not keen in answering...
Read moreI am Italian, and so is my boyfriend. We got into the pizzeria, we could hear the manager saying “stop”, “we’re closed”, “we don’t want anyone else” in Italian. It was late, but it was also more than one hour before closing, so we went to the cashier and we found out that they were not, in fact, closing. It was a bit off putting, but we decided to sit down anyway. We had to go to the room downstairs, which I would define more like a cellar adapter to sit people in than like a proper room for clients. The ceiling was too low, the music too loud, the tables so close that whenever someone was getting up from the neighbouring ones, we had to move to let them get to the toilet.
We ordered our pizzas, and they arrived very quickly. Initially we were happy, but after biting into it, we realised that they had not cooked the dough enough. It was chewy, and the oven must have been full of burned flour, because they were bitter and full of dark, burned spots.
We did not digest well.
We will not go back, and we cannot...
