Woodstockholm — Restaurant in Stockholm

We added three additional courses to the recommended set menu, and there was not a disappointing bite in sight. Really huge, carefully conceived flavors and textures. Many of the dishes emerged from the kitchen (by the chef herself? ) in a way that showed great concern for what was on the plate as well as how people reacted to it. In fact, the conceptual menu, sculptural serving dishes, delicate treatment of seafood (the rose fish--my god!), two-way communication with the chef, and woman-run vibe recalled all my favorite parts of eating at Dominique Crenn's atelier in the States. Some real magic is happening at Woodstockholm. Truly. Go there.

A couple of infinitesimal criticisms: I think it was a miss not pairing the volcanic earthiness of the Etna Bianco with the mushroom consommé; the nebbiolo was outstanding but far less pleasurable a pairing. A few of the courses were also pushing the salt level pretty high. I adore salt and didn't mind, but I think it could be dialed back a tiny bit to let the natural beauty of the food shine through even stronger. But honestly these are miniscule complaints. The whole experience beginning to end was delicious, relaxed, and fun. Loved the shaved-hair server at the bar especially: she was knowledgeable, patient with our behavior, and had us laughing the whole night. This is a gem of...

Woodstockholm is a fine dining restaurant in Stockholm that delivers a unique culinary experience with a 90's theme. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you are immediately transported to a different time with its nostalgic decor and ambiance. The restaurant's attention to detail in every aspect, from the music to the cutlery, is impressive and creates an immersive experience.

The highlight of the restaurant is undoubtedly its outstanding menu. The dishes are expertly crafted and feature amazing flavors that blend perfectly. Each dish is presented beautifully, making the dining experience visually appealing as well. From the appetizers to the entrees and desserts, every dish was exceptional, and it was evident that a lot of thought and creativity went into each one.

This tiny restaurant packs a huge punch. You walk in to woodstockholm and you can feel the great atmosphere straight away. The record player is pumping out iconic tunes and you are welcomed and sat down to what looks like a small space but is not. The menu is seasonal and changes often.

I stated with a g&t and the bacon on bacon which was a creamy rich pork salami. Tasty and mouth watering. Then the Jana sterbak’s flesh dress beef which is a take on beef carpaccio. This was plain and simply AMAZING. i could have had again. Every part of this dish worked so well, every ingredient worked perfectly with every other ingredient. For me it was the star of my meal. Then I had the Ai weiwei sunflower seeds which is a barley risotto that was delicious. I finished with the Helen bill billgren’s shopping list and some Absinth. All the while prince’s purple rain playing in the background.
