So, this bar seriously needs to step up its game when it comes to creating a safe space for women to dance without being hassled by guys. It's a big problem because it ruins the whole vibe for everyone and messes with how inclusive the place is supposed to be. They need to get their act together by having better security, clear rules against harassment, and training for their staff. When complaining to one male staff about being constantly sexual harassed by a guy, he responded that they could not do anything. Only a female staff reacted it appropriately. Without these basic safeguards, the bar just isn't giving off the right vibes for everyone to have a good time without worrying about creepy stuff. Cucaracha Bar in Basel, SW. Nice little place with tables on the street to allow people watching, conversation, and just fun. Some in our group were from Texas and wanted to try some Mexican food in the Basel, Switzerland area. We sat, ordered our drinks and some nachos. Service was good, staff spoke English or Spanish, and were professional and service minded. The nachos appeared to be chips from a Doritos bag, sprinkled with shredded cheese heated up to melt the cheese, and side of sour cream, avocado, some very mild picante sauce, and jalapeños in very small portions. We tried this restaurant whilst enjoying 'Fasnacht ' in Basel. It's on one of the main streets and has outdoor dining as well as the restaurant facility. It's bright and airy and has vibrant colours throughout giving off a nice vibe. This was carried on by our waiter, who gave us a great greeting and made sure we got everything we needed. The food was good, albeit the centre of my enchilada wasn't overly hot. This made me think it wasn't freshly prepared but simply reheated on order. But otherwise, everything was fine.
