i attended the opening of the organ festival, september 4, 2020. the new organ sounded quite promising, with a few interesting technical innovations. the public announcer was barely understandable; it sounded like the p.a. system is in need of serious testing and fine tuning. the selection of musical content was rather traditional; thus, an opportunity for grandeur got sadly missed. last but not least: even if a certain amount of talk should be expected for any opening ceremony, the ceaseless talk, especially towards the end of the show, turned out to be a torture. organizers: a concert is about music, and sermons should be kept...
