On arrival to this pub directly outside we were shouted at, no dogs in my pub. We said okay can we stay outside as there were lots of customers outside the bar and she shouted NO , no dogs in my pub and walked back inside, we were very confused as in Basel in almost all establishments dogs are allowed, but we could stay outside also, and when I went in to say why can’t we stay outside she shouted No bring your dog home and come back. By the way the dog is a tiny Maltese so she is no problem and also trained. Which to be honest doesn’t matter, the server’s behaviour was disgusting and totally uncalled for, we will never return here and never recommend it to anyone, she needs to be fired. Told to Leave the Bar Because of Our Nationality On April 21, 2025, my two friends and I (all women under 30) visited this bar. While standing at the bar counter discussing the menu in our native language, a male guest began bothering us, asking what language we were speaking. We politely declined to answer and told him he could guess if he wanted. Shortly after, the woman bartender joined in and guessed our language.
