We ordered typical swiss dishes and we really enjoyed them, they were tasty and had lots of condiments. Can't say we didn't have a good time overall, the vibe was just a little off for me because I kind of felt like I was stuck in the past... The place needed some renovation/redecoration, the chair was very uncomfortable (it was wood, too hard) and the place was flooded with (almost only) old men drinking beer - we could't tell from the beginning that it was preferred by the elderly. Also, if you're a foreigner, upon entering, you may find it hard to understand at first which is the restaurant (it's the one to the left) and which is the bar (it's to the right) - this was extremely confusing for the first 5 minutes for us and there was no one there to help us and we saw no directions in English. (Maybe if you're more experienced in traveling or not as hungry as we were, you won't have this problem but beware anyways!) I would recommend the food but if you're also looking for a nice cozy vibe, this...

This place was recommended to us by our hotel. We wanted something more authentic to Switzerland and it was too hot for fondue. Found out Cordon Blue is a Swiss dish and it was very good. We split this dish with garden salad and it hit. The Cordon Blue was perfectly cooked with cheese just oozing out of it. Of course the beer was a nice and paired well.

I gave a mark down for service because it was not clear how to get seated and to close out our tab. We were in the entry way waiting for someone to greet us and were ignored by several servers. The same thing happened after we finished our meal. Everyone was friendly and attentive until it came to getting the final bill and paying.

Would recommend...

This place was nice, but the waiter was jerk, we asked for beer and he said they weren’t serving and walked away, we were about to leave, but I decided to go to the bar and clarify, the same waiter told me, very hesitantly, what beers were available and walked away. He passed by our table about 3 times before he decided to attend us, we ordered our beer, they were quite good, but when we tried to order a second round he pointed at the clock and said “No”., took our money and walked away. We figured the place was closing, but then we saw him serve two other parities with alcohol... i was so annoyed that I decided to give this place a...

I ordered the tomato cream soup as a starter and the Cordon Bleu classic with french fries 🍟. The soup and Cordon Bleu were both very delicious, the cheese 🧀 was melted and matched well with the crispy pork meat. The Brasserie Zum Braunen Mutz "Zunfthaus" is a big restaurant with a bar area on the right side and a restaurant on the left, upstairs is more space as well. The staff were friendly and the service was swift and excellent, especially considering how full and busy the place was. the order came fast and was as expected with a good value for your money. we definitely recommend going there.
