Mum’s Kitchen is an absolute gem in Basel! A cozy place with a warm atmosphere and very attentive staff. The food is simply amazing – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. I especially loved the pho bo and the spring rolls, which felt both authentic and perfectly prepared.
Portions are generous, and the prices (CHF 10–20) are more than fair for the quality you get. The whole experience feels like enjoying a real homemade Vietnamese meal made with care.

Read moreWe booked a table for 2 and we’re promptly seated when we arrived at 7pm. By 7.10 we had placed our orders for a starter and main and drinks. The starter took nearly an hour to arrive despite repeated reminders we had been waiting. When they did arrive I told the waiter to ask the kitchen to prepare our mains and bring them out straight away. We waited another 35 minutes. Meanwhile 2 tables arrived after us, got served their food, paid and left.
