Arirang — Restaurant in Bern

I went to this restaurant once and never again. The service is friendly, but the food is absolutely disappointing. I ordered bulgogi and the portion was extra small and half of the plate was only salad. I took one photo for my Instagram and tried to hide the salad part, because that is just embarrassing and not authentic. I think this is the only Korean restaurant I've ever been to that does not have free banchans (side dishes), so I needed to buy kimchi extra. Half of my Google Reviews are from Korean Restaurants and to be honest, the visit is not worth it if you are searching for authentic...

It was the first time for everyone of us eating in a Korean restaurant. Under a friend of ours’ suggestion, we opted for Kimchi, Bibimbap and Bulgogi. We have been welcomed from various waiters with a big smile on their faces and they have been very kind and exhaustive in explaining our dishes , except for the bibimbap sauce which was a family secret recipe. We enjoyed almost everything with the only exception of kimchi but it’s not restaurant’s fault , just we didn’t like the taste. Price is average for being in Bern, but I don’t think it’s that...

I had a beef bulgogi and I must say I made a mistake. The pork one, even though it’s spicy, is way, way tastier (if you can take the heat). Every time I say I’m gonna take that and I chicken out. The kids had chicken and shrimp noodles and they were amazing! We love this place, we are repeating customers going on 12 years now. Definitely good Bulgogi and the serves are super nice, even though it was middle of lunch time they managed to find us a seat within five minutes....
