Great place! We came by because my father overheard a local recommending the place. We have been to four cities in Switzerland and I can confidently say that this was our best culinary experience here. Dorin was a very nice and energetic waiter, he even tried a few words in Turkish for us! We had pizzas and a vegetable soup, all were very nice overall. Since it is summer, the restaurant had a special menu and upon Dorin's recommendation we got their cheesecake with mangoes and passionfruit, which was also delicious. Had an absolutely amazing experience at Cavallo Star in Bern. Our server Elton was excellent at accommodating all of our needs and questions about Switzerland (we are visiting from US). He made us laugh and was helpful at explaining some of the items on the menu we didn’t understand. The intro buns, unfortunately, were stale, which set a disappointing tone. The pasta Bolognese was decent—nothing remarkable but satisfying enough. The pizza, however, fell below expectations, when compared to other local pizza hot spots.. Perhaps the Sunday evening down tone played a role in this.
