Papa Joe's — Restaurant in Bern

So we were today at this restaurant and we were really disappointed. First problem we waited 5-7 minutes to be seated at the door because nobody cared even if they saw us + it was almost empty.

Then we ordered 2 burgers on the menu (my man ordered a gentleman's cut and me a lady's cut ).. I had more on my plate than him i think (the gentleman's cut is 3 chf more expensive than the lady's cut ...)

Both of us ordered 1 guacamole for the burgers ( you have to pay 3chf per guacamole and it's not even a quarter of avocado that was in this so called "guacamole" (it was smashed avocado not guacamole)...) It was such a waste of time and money for nothing.

For 2 simple burgers (30 chf one and the other one 33chf) (because really there wasn't anything special inside (beef, cheddar, gherkin, tomato, 2 ringles of red onions, chili sauce) + some friers and industrials sauces) , for 2 panaché 0,5 L, and 2 guacamole next to the burgers we payed ---- 80chf.

It was expensive for really NOTHING. We have never eaten such an expensive "normal" burger.

Never come back to this place just for that. (the normal simple fajitas with beef and paprika it was minimum 35chf...)

The place is nice and funny but...

My first time at Papa Joe in Bern. Went there for my Friends Birthday last Saturday. Beautifully decorated but a little bit dissappointed with everything else. Been to other Papa Joe's before. Nothing to complain.

The Location looks very good and well decorated. The Toilet smells very bad. It stinks of pee like it hasnt been clean for months. I went there to wash my hands but couldnt stay longer than a couple sec.

The chrispy Chicken Wings we got served was all almost completely burned /overcooked darkbrown/black. We didn't want to throw it away or complain then but for the price we have paid i should have complained. It shouldn't have been served in the first place when it looks almost black. Other than that the Fries and other Food we have ordered were well done and delicious. The Panache should have been half/half but it was very little to almost no beer in it. I like sweet but 8.50 for a little sweet soda with so little beer was too much. So that could be improved as well.

We ate here as the guests of T Systems Schweiz. This restaurant is amazing! I think the decorations and style is not fancy or cool but the foods are special!

We ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon of California. I never drank a cabernet sauvignon that was not sour in my entire life. Well the cabernet that they serve here is not sour. It is indeed of high quality, I loved it!

Then I ate a normal size salad with prawns. It turned out that the portion was huge! It was fresh and delicious. I have never eaten better!

Then I chose beef steak with prawns and french fries. I never knew that french fries can be this tasty and high-quality. The meat was also unique and breathtaking. The only problem was I asked it to be well-done but they made it medium rare.

Finally I ate cheesecake. I am not a fan of desserts but it was also tasty and beautifully presented.

Yes the waitress was at times a bit slow but she was cheerful and polite.

To sum up, I ate some of my best restaurant meals ever in this place and I highly...
