This cafe, restaurant, and wine bar just below the Cathedral and at the start of the pedestrian zone going down to the lake is an absolute gem -- a perfect place to start your day with a coffee and croissant, enjoy a pasta or pinsa pizza for lunch, or end your afternoon with an aperitivo. Very nice little cafe right on the steps between the city centre and the main station. The staff was genuinely nice, especially the guy at the coffee machine. There are small pastries to choose from, like brioche and croissants, and some savoury options like toasties and home made focaccia, and the prices are very very reasonable! Siamo andati a prendere un caffè con mio padre sulla terrazza. Ci siamo installati sulla terrazza su un tavolo al sole che non era stato ancora sgomberato. Arriva la cameriera, non ci saluta e comincia a sgombrare il nostro tavolo, lamentandosi e dicendoci: non potevate mettervi sull'altro tavolo? (perché accanto a noi c'era un tavolo già sgomberato). Rispondo gentilmente che questo tavolo era in ombra. Mio padre poi mi ha detto che in ogni caso il tavolo avrebbe dovuto essere sgomberato. A questo punto, la cameriera praticamente insulta mio padre insegnandogli come lei deve fare il suo lavoro.

Ho notato che all'interno del ristorante c'era un diploma dell’Ecole Hôtelière. Per coincidenza, insegno lì occasionalmente da 2 anni. Il comportamento di questa cameriera è deplorevole e se il diploma le appartiene, non ne è degna.
