What a disappointment

My partner and I yesterday went to this restaurant to spend a convivial evening and eat reasonably well. The first impression was nice: a spacious place, well visited, and a seemingly relaxed atmosphere.

But then we couldn’t but notice the hasted and intimidated staff. No wonder:

The Italian gentleman, obviously the owner and eager to make up for business lost during the Corona lockdown, chased his crew to serve the tables as fast as possible, surely in the hope to sell them a second time.

No time for a little chat with the guests as one would expect from an Italian place.

Instead, we couldn’t but hear him loudly scold a young waiter in front of everybody instead of taking a moment and quietly explain to him what he’d done wrong. No, the owner would make sure the waiter lost his face in front of everybody.

The pizza itself was of medium quality, drinks (beer & white wine) were ok.

But the sourest taste came when the bill had to be settled with the owner – not the staff that had served us.

Perhaps spending CHF 72 wasn’t enough, and tipping CHF 4 in addition?

Anyway, the ‘gentleman’ didn’t look at my partner who paid a single time, announced the price in Italian, and dropped a single, listless, ‘grazie’.

Or does he perhaps have a problem with two men having dinner...

Me and Ma femme had a nice evening there,i ordered the carpaccio de boeuf pizza ,it was served hot and proper the wine was good.i wasn't happy bout the crust it was a bit soggy clearly from the sauce .i realize this happens so i am gonna leave 3 stars.We will return again for sure (and we did), cause we really like the carbon bread(black and beautiful). so our second visit deserves a separate 3 star rating had the fried calamari.As far as the service it was lagging a bit ,first they brought 2 plates then realized it was not the right order for our table and realized this before placing them in front of my guests,OK then a server brought out 2 of the large plates ,a pizza,a boeuf type plate my fried calamari,ma femme's seafood pasta.then quit sometime later my moms fish plate,so service was a bit eh-eh..soo the food 4 stars...

From a loving customer for more than 8 years Unfortunately, the manager who is present in the evening shift, especially on May 20, is an example of the irresponsible and negligent manager who cannot manage any situation or pressure at work, and is offensive to the place in the full sense of the word. Because when one makes a reservation with him over the phone and gives all the necessary data and the reservation is confirmed and then the customer comes to the restaurant on time to be expelled, yes I was expelled with my family because the manager does not remember if it was a reservation or not, and there is a lot of pressure on that day and no There is a place, and one of the gentlemen of the...
