Seoul — Restaurant in Geneva

Went here day before my birthday as a surprise by my wife. She called during the week to reserve a table with a time. When we arrived, the waiters and waitresses had us wait 10 minutes. A group of (4) Koreans came in aftrr staring at thr outside menu, and debating coming in and were seated immediately in the back. The waiters implied that we sit next to the door which, was letting in a LOT of cold air because it was absolutely freezing that day. When we FINALLY were seated we ordered before the group of 4 Koreans, and yet when they ordered, the waitress brought EVERYTHING out to them. The drinks, bowls, vegetables, meats, and the grill which she cooked all of it on the spot for them. Mind you, they were not reserved, they ordered AFTER us. The waitress got my drink wrong but kept going to their table to make sure they were okay. Finally she fixes my drink, and the other group was getting their second meal big. The waitress finally comes to turn out heat on for the grill except she doesn't turn it on, she opens the cap and brings out food to tease us..allowing the food to go cold while she goes to the Korean table and serve them more stuff.. so finally she turns the heat on and doesn't cook our food for us. Now we have to do it by ourself. Okay... either they were racist or they have a culture to serve their own "kind" with respect and prioritize...

Pros: The first shipment of meat was well marinated, the ginger sauce was great, the kimchi tasted like it was selfmade. Cons: The second shipment of meat was frozen pork belly and unmarinated beef slices which I think is absolutely unacceptable. The service was slow as the restaurant was packed and we had to wait 15 minutes until we could order more rice. The price for the meat was fine, but the bottle of Soju was 27CHF which is 7 times the normal price and in my opinion a total rip-off. I was really annoyed at the end of the dining experience, the staff was short handed and they were apparently not prepared for the amount of people on Christmas eve. Giving out frozen food is absolutely outrageous for the price you pay. We will not be coming back, one of the worse but not the worst KBBQ...

I'm torn with this place. The food is great but the timed double service seating is very annoying. They're maximising their profits at the comfort of diners because the timed slots are too short. They will literally force you out at closing time and you cannot stay one minute longer. I've been here a couple of times and the end of the dining experience is always ruined, despite the food be exceptional. The food is absolutely delicious and the price is reasonable. The dining area can be hit and miss: tables by the front door get uncomfortably cold in winter while the back area gets unbearably noisy if there are big parties. Servers are nice enough, except 10 minutes before closing when they harass you to leave. Maybe dining at lunchtime would be a...
