I dined at Restaurant Tehran tonight and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Although the service was quick enough, several aspects of the visit left much to be desired.
The food, for one, was extremely bland. I expected rich flavors from a Persian restaurant, but sadly, even a frozen microwave meal would have been a better culinary experience. The so-called "saffron rice" was just normal rice with a teaspoon of saffron rice on top.
Moreover, the restaurant was very hot inside, making it quite uncomfortable to sit and enjoy a meal. Adding to the discomfort were the numerous flies around the dining area, which I can see from previous reviews were not a one-time occurrence. The lack of any music contributed to a poor ambience, replaced only by loud voices, which made the atmosphere quite unpleasant.
Another disturbing element was the constant interruption by flower salesmen. Three different salesmen entered inside the restaurant (and were allowed) in the span of an hour, which significantly detracted from the dining experience.
Overall, while the service was quick, the bland food, poor ambience, uncomfortable temperature, and constant disturbances made for an unsatisfactory experience. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the...
Read moreI recently visited Restaurant Tehran twice, and unfortunately, both experiences left much to be desired. On my first visit, I arrived without a reservation and was met with what felt like an unwelcoming attitude. One staff member, in particular, simply told us the restaurant was full, without offering any smile or courtesy. In the hospitality industry, I believe it’s important to maintain a respectful and friendly demeanor, even when the restaurant is busy. A simple polite explanation, paired with a smile, would have gone a long way.
The next evening, I made a reservation and got a table, but sadly, the same staff member’s attitude was no better. He came across as unhappy and not friendly, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere.
As for the food, I ordered the Ghormeh Sabzi, a dish I’ve enjoyed many times before at other restaurants. Unfortunately, the quality was not up to par and lacked the authentic taste that defines this traditional Iranian dish.
I hope the restaurant can take this feedback to heart and work on both the quality of their food and the attitude of their staff. A warm, welcoming environment and delicious food are what every diner deserves, especially in such a highly...

Unprofessional zero customer service. We have been kicked out of this place!!
We visited this restaurant twice. The first time we had lunch. Everything went fine. The food was OK, tastless but we only liked the Tea. Next day we came again in the very early evening with an almost empty restaurant to have just a tea. We clearly indicated that we want only tea when entered. After being seated and ordered, then someone else came and literally kicked us out ! She was very rude to us and told us this is a restaurant you cannot order just tea! Then we politely said ok can we have it takeaway.. even that they refused while the day before a couple had it as take away.
Update: the restaurant responded and justified that it was fully booked; well why we were seated then? And taking a tea shouldnt take more than 10 minutws. And why it wasnt possible for takeaway. My only explanation is that it was act of racism. What happend is not acceptable by any standard.
What an unprofessional overpriced place. I dont want to be treated like a homless or begger....
