Restaurant Waldrand der Grieche — Restaurant in Interlaken

Staying close by in air b&b, I went for a walk into town to look for a nice place to eat dinner. With the weather being cold and raining I was after somewhere close to the accommodation. When I walked in, I was greeted by the very friendly owner. I informed him that I have an onion allergy and if there is anything on the menu that will be safe considering it is a Greek restaurant. He carefully thought about his menu and explained everything that I could eat. The owner prepared the table, provided the drinks and food menu, and showed interest in asking where I was from and travel plans to come. It was great to have a local welcome me to Interlaken and his venue. He recommended a local Swiss beer and meals on the menu. It was a longer wait for the food even though the venue was quiet only due to the wet weather but wow!! The wait was worth it!! All the food was seasoned, cooked and presented beautifully. Even after our meal I got talking with the owner to pay the bill and he offered me his private car parking at the back of his restaurant so I could park my car the following day while travelling to Grindelwald and Jungfraujoch to avoid paying parking fees in the street. 10/10 rating, if I ever return to Interlaken, I will be back to visit!!
