Replying to the Owner: I’ve learned to not waste food. No matter what we still paid for the food and that’s why even if it wasn’t satisfactory I’ll still pay and eat a meal that was given. I’m not that privileged to turn food away. And no where in my review did I mention the food being expensive? Regardless, I stand by my statement that many should reconsider coming to this restaurant.
Horrible food and I’m surprised they can even use the name Kashmir as their restaurant name. Literally puts a disgrace in the entire state. We should’ve walked out seeing no one else was in the store but we were quite hungry. Once we came in and ordered naan, lamb biriyani, and chicken tikka we noticed all of the food was lacking flavor. We told the guy we wanted extra spicy, he went along to say Pakistani spicy or Indian and I promise you, not even the locals would consider this spicy. I had asked for extra green peppers on the side for how non spicy all the food was. The curry felt that it was watered down. You’d never expect a restaurant to smell so much of garlic but couldn’t even taste it at all in the food. Overall walk away and in fact RUN away from this restaurant...
Read moreKashmir Restaurant, located conveniently just beside the Interlaken West station is your best bet Pakistani/Indian cuisine place in Interlaken. The menu covers all the major options and portion sizes are ample enough for more than two people. The taste is perfect and they keep the spice level as per your liking. The fresh bread is super tasty. The chai is perfectly made fresh. My kids also loved their food. Apart from the food, the hospitality and friendliness of the whole staff is very heartwarming. In our full stay in Interlaken we never ate from another place as it was easily the only place we ever wanted to go to eat. The meat cuisine is halal. Whenever we visit Interlaken will surely come here again. A big thanks to the owner, the waiters and the lovely chef uncle. Thanks to Kashmir restaurant for making our stay in...
Read moreInterlaken is our third stop in this trip, we started off in Luzern then Zarmatt. Total lack of , halal options let alone a decent Pakistani restaurant in these two location's, I had made up my mind to survive on Margarita Pizzas for the next two days as well. I was pleasantly surprised by this authentic gem of a restaurant serving freshly made dishes true to the flavor, and most importantly with a warm welcoming smile of the Owner Umar Butt. I highly recommend this to all Pakistani flavour seekers. Specially after a long hike in the beautiful Interlaken area this is the best you can treat your self with. And don't forget to end the meal with a cup of doodhpatti... P.S Umar Butt very cordially gave us his visiting card and extended his help in case we need anything during our stay in Interlaken. What a gem...
