My partner and I stopped by the Migros supermarket upstairs to grab a quick snack and sat at a table at the Migros restaurant area to look at the menu and reviews, as we were considering dining there before a long day of travel.

While we were quietly sitting, the owner approached us and asked if we spoke English. When we said yes, she abruptly said, “I pay rent here, so if you want to sit here, you have to pay for a meal.” We were quite taken aback by her tone and explained we thought it was part of the supermarket seating area. She then added, “I’m telling you this nicely.”… though her approach felt far from kind or welcoming.

To make things worse, she looked at me and remarked, “There are too many tourists here,” which felt completely unnecessary and uncalled for.

PLEASE take your money to any other business. Horrible location with horrible service. We bought food to go from Migros supermarket upstairs, which has the same exact food as the restaurant, and is clearly all part of the same establishment. Upon sitting down, store employee came by and would not let us stay, even though the restaurant was 90% empty, and even when we explained we bought food from Migros. She proceeded to roll her eyes at us.

This place saved me from emptying my wallet quickly. The food was in the ‘Swiss affordable’ range. We are talking 12-16CHF. Tap water is free after the counter.

They start lunch service around 11:30am and if you somehow come around 2pm+, they are still willing to cook lunch food for you.

Make sure you know a few Swiss or German phrases. At times the wait staff didnt understand english. Thankfully I have googletranslate.
