Absolutely rude and seemingly racist waiter. Didn’t give us menus, said he didn’t have time to take our orders, kept us waiting, talked to us rudely, and insulted us. I’ve never experienced service this bad in my life. The white German speaking people seemed to get great service though. Edit: the owner now has the audacity to blame the entire situation on us, call me poor, and tell me not to visit restaurants. We didn’t bring our own water into the restaurant as the owner claims, nor would I ever write a review to smear a restaurant for no reason. What I don’t have tolerance for, however, is unbelievably rude service and a seeming carelessness for customers. Our waiter would not even give us a minute to place our order, and left to go to another table when we asked a question about the food because we apparently weren’t ordering fast enough. I guess you can’t ask any questions to waiters here and expect rude responses if you do. Furthermore, we indicated that we were in a slight hurry due to an event we had scheduled following lunch, but our waiter said we must have all the time in the world and left our table as we were trying to order to bring menus to another table (we weren’t even given menus and I had to fetch them myself). I recommend you stop lying on the internet and improve your customer service, both in person and online, to treat your customers better. And you can report this review as many times as you like, but it will not be taken down because it is true. An apology would have been the best way to move forward, this rude response is another horrible look for an already brazen restaurant. I wish you the best of luck in the future but this is not the way to improve your...
Read moreDuring choosing our orders, we asked what Zucchini was (we had no mobile internet yet in Swiss, so we had no internet to search by our self, and we had not asked the wi-fi password yet. The italian guy working there, maybe the owner, we don’t know answered us by laughing “how is it possible that you don’t know zucchini?” We were shocked because we are from Belgium, a country with 3 different official languages + English and our mother language Turkish (4-5 in total), never heard the word Zucchini before. We asked if it was something vegetable or cheese than he just said: “every vegetarian knows what Zucchini is…” and added that in EVERY Language the word Zucchini the same is (which was not true, proven by us in different languages to him thanks to Google).
The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice, looks hygienic and clean.
Pizza Funghi (19 Frank) had a really simple standard taste. I asked during giving the order if it was possible to add chicken to any pizza and than they replied on a down looking way that they’re able to do it (for 7 Frank) because they can.
and before entering the restaurant, we asked if the meats were Halal or not. They said EVERYTHING was Halal in the menu :)))
(- the comments of my friends for their pasta’s were that it was not enough compared with the price...
Read moreEverywhere I have been in Switzerland, especially Interlaken has been a lovely experience. The people are always kind and considerate, except here. Rude and unhelpful staff.
EDIT: The owner contacted me saying, "We are a Restaurant and not an Information Center, we work hard to serve our costumers and we cannot answer all questions from hundreds of people passing by the Train station." Instead of asking, they assumed I was a traveler looking for directions. I was a PAYING customer here, for food and drink, NOT a train passenger. I stopped in to try the food, and the staff was rude and unhelpful. I asked 2 questions about the menu and the staff were inattentive, couldn't answer the simple questions, and treated me like I was an inconvenience. They also messed up the order and refused to fix it. There are plenty of absolutely lovely eateries in Interlaken with friendly, welcoming staff - this is not one of them. Even the way they treat the customers who have had less than enjoyable experiences with the restaurant is awful, instead of trying to...
