Chalet Suisse — Restaurant in Kloten

Unbelievably slow and miserable service for a restaurant in general, but especially for one that serves an airport for such insane prices. 6 francs for an orange juice?

We waited for over 40 minutes just to have our order taken. Then another 30 for food. Then another 30 for the bill. Whenever I tried to ask the wait staff or catch their attention (while the restaurant was half empty), they waved me away, as if telling me to leave them alone. In the middle of the service, 3/5 waiters took their break at once, which left us without a bill. We were running late for our flight, and they continually waved us away, or told us that another waiter was responsible. Finally, we managed to get our bill, after half an hour. It seems as if the staff here don’t care about anything, even their paycheque.

Don’t bother with this mess of a place, on the lower gate level there’s a prêt for half the cost and twice the service,...

The only thing that could be close to something Suisse is the water.

When you aree nobody or nothing really welcoming you. You need just wait or go just sit at a table. Then someone says YES in German. You ask to eat thwn he says ok! Then I asked what's the menu was, and he showed the QR code.

I ordered the food and drink, then I have to pay by apps....guess what? They charge you 10% tips! I mean, this is very new to me with all the travel I'm doing! They should just call it an additional service charge because in Switzerland, all restaurants are practising service charge included.

The food was okay... very oily thus.

Chale Suisse is situated on the second floor of Zurich Airport. It features a spacious, modern open area with comfortable seating and five private booths.
