The food is good for a caffee, the chocolate/desserts/sandwiches etc high quality. I also know this is an airport lounge so setting expectations right. The only thing I would try to change is the overall vibe associated with Sprungli. Being about sweets, chocolates etc I don’t understand the stiff attitude concept around the personnel ( they are trained, it’s not a complaint to any of them). They are polite, formal and distant as if they would be working in a pretentious restaurant not in a chocolate brand cafeteria. Relax a bit guys, learn to smile again and synch with the vibe of the persons indulging on chocolate. I know Sprungli wants to be the luxury watch of chocolates, but customers don’t buy your products to show-off, they buy them because they want to have a good time. Also, do something with the coffee. So respektlos und unfreundliche wurde ich in meinem Leben noch nie bedient. Ich habe bei einem freundlichen jungen Kellner für knapp CHF 50.- Kaffee, Heisseschokolade und ein Dessert bestellt. Da es in der Lounge keinen Platz für meine Familie und mich gab, sassen wir gleich bei den Tischen nebenan. Beim zahlen hat man mir dann gesagt dass das als Takeaway gesehen wird und ich deshalb länger warten musste, was absolut ok war. Danach kam eine andere Mitarbeiterin (vermutlich die Vorgesetzte des jungen Mannes) dazu und hat ihn total zur Sau gemacht, vor allen Gästen. Es ging darum, dass er mir Takeaway verkauft hat, obwohl er das nicht hätte tun sollen. Ich als Gast, bin nochmal kurz zur Bar und fragte bei dieser Frau nach einem Messer, um das Dessert für meine Familie anzuschneiden. Sie ignorierte mich zuerst und fuhr mich dann an, dass sie mir ganz bestimmt kein Messer gibt. Ich sagte dann ich möchte das Dessert nur anschneiden, was ich bei ihnen gekauft habe und sie war so unfreundlich und hat mir schlussendlich eine Takeaway Gabel mitgegeben, was für mich auch ok war. Das hätte sie mir auch einfach freundlich anbieten können... Ich habe ihr dann gesagt sie soll aufhören so respektlos und unfreundlich mit mir zu sprechen, immerhin bin ich hier ein Gast, welcher gerade für kann 50.- Franken eingekauft hätte und es so scheint als sei es ein internes Problem, für welches ich ja nichts kann, ich habe bestellt und normal bezahlt. Sprüngli steht für so viel positives, top Qualität, immer gutes Ambiente egal in welcher Stadt und dann kommt man zu dieser Frau und sie schafft es doch tatsächlich, das Bild von Sprüngli kaputt zu machen. I came in the morning and ordered 2 hot chocolates and told the women that was preparing the drinks that I needed to get something very quickly but that I need the hot chocolates quick because I need to my flight. (I was the only person ordering it was 6:35 in the morning). When I came quickly back she didn’t even start preparing gave me very bad attitude and was super rude about it.
