Leon's Loft - Coffee, Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Kloten

I arrived on a Sunday morning at around 11:15 with my young baby for something to eat without a reservation. The young man who welcomed me was incredibly friendly and professional. He was considerate of the fact I had a baby with my and offered me many different tables to sit at. I asked him if I could breastfeed and he assured me that this would be no problem at all. He also pointed out where I could find the bathroom for changing etc.

The same young man took my order for a drink and brought it to me soon afterwards. I was not offered a menu, so I looked it up online and decided what I wanted to eat. I was not asked if I wanted to order food, so I asked a waitress who passed me if she would take my order. She seemed to be a 'team leader' or the shift manager. She seemed a little confused that I asked her. I ordered the pancakes with syrup and compote. When my order arrived, she had ordered me two portions of pancakes; one with compote and one with syrup. I explained the misunderstanding and she took one plate away. The pancakes were great. Freshly made and really delicious. I would have liked the compote to have some fresh berries in, what I got seemed like canned fruit.

In general, the vibe in the restaurant was good. My only criticism would be about the lady who took my order, who appeared to be 'in charge'. She had a rather unprofessional attitude. The way she loudly joked with the other staff and appeared to stand back and relax in the bar area in full view of the customers, didn't feel right. She also wasn't apologetic or kind to me when realising the mistake with the order. I felt as though I needed to apologise to her. She didn't seem customer orientated to me.

Impression & Interior If you're looking for a simple but chic Restaurant/ Bar/ Coffeeshop with a cool vibe to get together with Friends, Family or even alone, then I highly recommend! It is next to the airport so you can get anywhere pretty quick around Zurich. Interior sparks your creativity ;) Not too big but feels big. Bright, big windows, high ceiling

Service & Vibe I've been here a few times and can say.. This place either gives you a calm, classy, coffeeshop type of vibe or it can give you an "In the scene" type of vibe. (Take it how you resonate w it ;) ) Service staff is either friendly & give off a cool colleague aura or can be very quick (almost too quick) & seem to feel unnerving with new guests, do pay much attention but just to get an order (Noted this while there wasn't much going on) - Not saying start a convo. A smile & an uplifting tone would change a lot tho.
