Update - 2nd visit was just as good. All the Swiss I dragged with me liked it too. By far the best Chinese I’ve found in Lausanne, pretty authentic. Flavors were spot on and toned down for the spice level acceptable here. I’m sure they’d increase that if you asked. I would give them to 6* if I could. The surprise to me was the cold chicken starter dish. Better than expected, with a delicious sauce. Not spicy, give it a try. Highly recommended. The cumin lamb was tender and with plenty of flavor. As usual the beans were good and oily, as they should be, and not as spicy as they appear. The cold dish of spicy stomach was as a good mix of peppers, not too spicy (more than the beans) and a bit on the vinegary side. On the 2nd visit I added the sour soup with beef and fried lotus root, both were excellent too. The Xiao Chao Rou dish had excellent meat, but is one of those that could benefit from less focus on the meat. Basically stir fried spicy pork belly, some larger pepper chunks (non spicy) would balance it out. Surprisingly I didn’t like the dumplings much, but they were not bad. Maybe try the boiled and not steamed.

Our Taiwanese friend recommended this place and we went as a group of 8. We went on a Saturday because they are closed on Sundays. Reservation is a must. The food was very good. We enjoyed the ff: - lacquered duck + hoisin - pork strips + pancake + spring onions + cilantro (the truth is we got this so we can use the pancake etc for the duck) - A prawns in honey - beef noodles - fried rice I had the hakaw, but I wouldn NOT order it again because I’ve had better. We definitely ordered TOO MUCH because we barely touched our noodles. Servings are HUGE so we took home a lot. We were very satisfied with value for money. Our friends love the beef noodle soup and it is good for 2 coz it’s huge. Ambiance: Interiors can be improved but we are really here for affordable yet delicious food. They close between lunch and dinner too.

The best Chinese restaurant in Lausanne. The food is authentic and amazing, the staff is kind and efficient even when fully packed. If you want the real flavors, go to Kung Fu, jo hesitation. The ambiance is exactly what you should expect from a "true" Chinese restaurant in Switzerland; simple, efficient, nothing fancy but just right. The pangadius pot with Sichuan Pepper and the Lamb with cumin are amongst my favorites but truly everything we have tried is delicious. Book in advance, it gets packed EVERY NIGHT! :-)

The waiter says, "I have too much work." The chili sauce is ok, missing some garlic and raw chilis, it's just oil and chili flakes. From the beef stew, lamb chili, sticky aubergine, crunchy beef and beef chili soup and cucumber salad, my favorites were lamb chili since it was a balance between chili strong flavors good crunch from chili all in a rich sauce, the cucumber salad for the freshness, crunch and good amount of coriander and finally the beef soup with a strong umami undertone and high tones of acidity - all in all i had an amazing time eating. The service was ok. They had plenty of work and struggled taking orders, made little to not eye contact, and most barely spoke, neither French nor English. However, that...
