Le Coup de Soleil — Restaurant in Lausanne

We visited during a time when it was mostly empty, and we asked politely and apologetically to sit at a table with a nice view. We then heard the staff bad mouthing and insulting us in italian because we asked to sit at that particular table. We decided to ignore this, but later repeated these insults with his colleagues. We spoke to this member of staff in italian in order to show that we had heard and understood the conversation, and they all pretended to not understand the language, and promptly disappeared. This is horribly unprofessional and offensive behavior, we do not deserve to be harassed in such an overt manner by several people, and we regret coming and spending our evening and money there. The place is quite nice, high ceilings, very spacey. The decoration is a little bit dated.

We had quite a few issues with our food, my boyfriend got served raw chicken, risotto and pasta were overcooked.

It was rather tasty still, we could see that they used fresh products (wild garlic, asparagus..).

Food-wise it didn't really live up to our expectations, service was slow and not overly friendly. We wanted to try the place so now we have, might not come back or...

Very disappointed experience for this overpriced restaurant. I won't recommend it further.

Service took long and was amateur. Waiter was between jokes and "i am sorry".
