The Sweet Sage Pâtisserie — Local services in Lausanne

I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately I was deceived by many things, first thing I was ordering in French but I'm not European so directly the lady serving which I think was the responsible one there with blonde hair, she cut me and spoke in English assuming I'm not from here although I live in Lausanne, secondly she wasn't welcoming at all I was trying to smile to her to say thank you but she was very cold maybe she was having a bad day, we sat outside but then it rained then we went inside the place was full of flies which was very disturbing since the desserts are placed inside, the desserts look amazing but the taste of the fancy tart were beyond ordinary compared to the price of 9.20 franks ( which I don't mind paying but for a wow taste ) and amazing hygiene, the spoons were dirty as well and I didn't wanna embrace the server so I just asked to be exchanged with a fork to be gentle, luckily the other lady with brown hair was very sweet and welcoming after I was discriminated by the first one. I was really excited to try this place. The pastries especially looked great, but unfortunately, I had a strange experience and felt that the staff member did not want me there. After being rushed to order, she kept staring at me. I then asked her if I had upset her, but there was a language barrier.. I guess it was all just a misunderstanding, but I felt very uncomfortable and couldn't enjoy the drinks and food. I’ve been here a few times and it’s hands-down one of my favorite spots in Lausanne. The pastries are super refined, elegant and made in detail. The space is calm, beautifully designed and never empty.

I also ordered a personalized cake from Chef Thibaut and it turned out stunning—both visually and taste-wise. You can really feel the care and creativity in everything they make. Highly recommend for a quiet coffee, a sweet treat, or something special!
