Very welcoming Chef and staff! We were lucky to reserve a table in their terasse, spacious and the table was well designed. We each had our complementary Lebanese bread bag on the table Place was full on a Tuesday Very knowledgeable waiter, explained properly the ingredients replying to our questions
Drinks: It has been a very long time since we had Jellab and found it very refreshing and to our surprise full of pine nuts!
Food: we ordered Hummus with meat (super good), dynamite chicken with avocado (unique concept, we loved it), Batata du chef (one of the best we've ever had) , and we tried there our favorite lebanese speciality, the fried cauliflower. To our surprise, they do it really well, fried to perfection, no oil residue and smells really nice (no oily smell) - three things we find critical to the success of that simple yet easily ruined dish. Was a success at Taole!
Dessert: Exquisite, a real lebanese delicacy. We took the Hallawet l Jeben and it was great. But the Ossmaliyeh we also ordered stands out, never tried it before.
Prices: Compared to the portions and the quality we got, it's reasonably/surprisingly priced.

Read moreWe didn’t book. Once arrived there, we were told the place was fully booked even though when we came back 30 minutes later there were lot of empty tables. It was already late so we decided to give it a try. Meanwhile the people who reserved the tables outside didn’t even come for the time we were there (~1.5 hour). The overall vibe was something that aspires at being a fancy pricey restaurant but it is not. Food was nothing exceptional but good, however portions small for the price paid. I am used to Swiss prices but 3 chf for a single falafel sounds too much for me. The service was fast so at least we could leave early. Feels like a place where it is more convenient to have lunch...
Read moreWe made a reservation for 8pm, got there about 745pm and they were already packed!
We were seated immediately but it took us a little while to get the food menu and then to place our order.
There were a lot of items on the menu but we decide to opt for the degustation so that the 4 of us could have a little of the best of everything!
And it is so hard to choose favourites here because everything that came was a hit for us! Tasty and nicely salted. From the hummus, to the falafel to the chicken, lamb to the ginger ice cream with crispy fried angel hair.
Pricing was very reasonable for what we had as well, 45CHF each excluding beverages.
We enjoyed ourselves...
