We went there with our kid, first of all they insisted us to fold our stroller (which was full of groceries) and took it to the basement. That’s despite we were the only customers there, so it’s not like they were full! Then they brought a high chair that was uncomfortable and forced us to use it with a very tight tray. My toddler wanted to sit on my lap until we got the food, but they said no don’t bother mommy! The food came, and they forced my kid to use the tray with the high chair which was very tight and my toddler was crying inside it, they said if we don’t use the tray baby will mess the restaurant! The food was really bad; we ordered a butter chicken which was watery with dry and uncooked pieces of chicken and no taste and naan bread was like a supermarket bread heated in microwave. When we were leaving after paying, we asked for our stroller but they said we will need to bring it up the stairs by ourselves from their basement! Which was very inconvenient with a tired baby who wanted to get home soon. The prices are also very high for that poor food and service quality. What was the more interesting thing was that I got a bad stomach pain for several hours after the food. I really don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, specially for those with a kid. As our kid felt very unwelcome and crying...
Read moreWe did a reservation at 14 and the person at the entry welcome us very badly saying kitchen was close. We show our reservation was done for 14 and after taking time to talk to “kitchen” he told us to sit. He continue with a rude actitud looking at us and not been very polite. Later on we order 3 dishes one been a kids menu (wich come with sirop and ice cream) but when my daughter was asking for the water he refused it to bring it saying with “the fork” you cannot have water and he also say ice cream might not arrive. I do understand the fork has a special policy but if you order a kids menu that come in the price with this things and you a rot it you cannot later say you will not bring them. We are also talking about a kid here. Last time this was not a problem, the amazing lady who took care of our table she was more than polite and kind and this is what I was expecting by coming back too. Beside this dishes were not same quality, like smthing in the kitchen was changed and the plate for our daughter was not the korma we order but another one very spicy she could not finish because of this reason. At this point we did not even change it because we had a not nice moment in a place used to be nice but is simple...
Read moreMianwali Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian and Pakistani flavors in Lausanne. From the moment you step in, the warm ambiance and friendly service set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
The menu offers a fantastic selection of traditional dishes, each bursting with rich, well-balanced spices. The Tika Tandoori is perfectly cooked, aromatic, and flavourful. Their naan is fresh and fluffy, making it the perfect accompaniment to any dish. Vegetarians will also find plenty of tasty options, like the delicious daal and paneer dishes. The tea was the best I’ve had at any restaurants in years.
Beyond the incredible food, the staff is attentive and welcoming, ensuring every guest feels at home. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of food you receive.
If you’re looking for an authentic Indian-Pakistani dining experience in Lausanne, Mianwali is the place to go. Highly...
